let me school you
So I thought it would be fun to give you guys a look for the first day of school...
Can you believe it's been 10 years since I've been out of high school; time flies! I look back on my grade schools days as if they just happened. I remember being so excited to get to high school so that I could wear 'real' clothing. Elementary and middle school required a uniform which was so boring and hindered what little fashion sense I thought I had. I think the 11th grade was when I really started to have fun with fashion. I started wearing heels more and added accessories to my outfits. I didn't win best dressed or anything but I surely came into my own.
Once the school season arrives, I know fall is right around the corner. I thought this rust colored jumpsuit would serve as a great transition piece. It's lightweight and still shows enough skin during the warmer months but the hue fits right into fall's color palette. It's also giving me 'sleepwear on the go' vibes which is right on point with the lingerie trend we've been seeing lately. The fabric has a silky feel to it, as if I woke up like this.
Aside from a great color and fun silhouette, the outfit is pretty plain on its own. This created the perfect opportunity to play up the accessories with a body chain and multiple rings. A backpack is necessary since it's the first day of school right? And it's the perfect size; nobody ever does any real work on the first day. You're just there to look cute and catch up with your friends. Just writing this post brought back those first day of school feels; that mixture of being anxious and excited at the same time. I don't want to go back but it's definitely a great time to remember.
