jacket or dress?

So I'm thinking I did this wrong...

The oversized denim jacket is so in right now. And I love the 90s vibe it's giving.. you know, when clothing was loose and baggy and not as form fitting as it is right now. It's so dope to see old eras make their way back into present times. But anyway, I think I did it wrong. See, in my head I was picturing something that would be a bit wider and not so long; something that was going to stop at the waist. This denim jacket is giving me trench coat vibes instead. Maybe I should've ordered one size larger. Or maybe it just isn't quite the right style. But I didn't fret.. I just wore it differently. 

Now don't get me wrong, I still really like this jacket. And I'm sure I'll find more ways to rock it as a layering piece but I really don't mind wearing it on its own. To keep it casual, I wore it with sneakers (which I'm really starting to love btw) and I could not forget these Quay sunnies! They're from the QUAYxDESI collaboration and I think they might be my favorite pair thus far. They have such a bad ass look.. there's no way you can't slay when you have them on, even if you are wearing a jacket as a dress!
